WHAT IS OUT of DISTRICT?
Native Americans who are not on their Tribal Reservation are considered Out of District. About 70% of Native Americans live away from reservations according to James Tucker, the chairman of a Census Bureau advisory committee.
WHY DO SO MANY NATIVES FIND THEMSELVES OUT of DISTRICT?
Just as so many Americans choose to follow opportunities in Americas Urban Centers, so do Native Americans.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH BEING OUT of DISTRICT?
Natives who live outside their Tribal Jurisdiction are unable to receive services from their Tribe.

OUR STORY
Members of our organization have come together to create this Non Profit in unison. We all felt the unmet needs for our Native American brothers, sisters and youth who reside outside their Tribal boundaries. The unmet needs of the urban Indigenous communities include; education, training, employment resources, cultural trainings, transportation, veteran services, youth services, housing services, food, emergency shelter and health services. Living outside Tribal Territory is a Disadvantage for the 70% of Natives that choose to follow urban opportunities since Tribal resources are not available for Out of District Natives. The Out of District Association recognizes these needs and strives to address these needs daily.
